"I've recently read a lot about camel milk but wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by both the taste and how easy it was for me to digest. I will definitely order again. Thanks!

    Great product!

Mix this into my toddlers milk (A2 Regular Cow) about a 1/4th scoop into 10oz. Shake it in the same bottles I did for the whole time he was on formula! He took Enfamil Neuropro Enfacare for babies born prematurely. We had to make it by the NICU instructions so it would be higher calorie & I even went a step further at the time to add half a scoop of Enfamil Optimum because of the lactoferrin, being as close to breast milk as possible. This is a very good product! Helps with his growth spurts, behavior & to much more! Wish I would of know about Camel milk a long time ago!

Only milk my kid can tolerate

The title says it all. This is the only milk my kid can digest with no problems, likes the taste, and asks for it all the time. I’ve tried pasteurized and raw cow and goat milk from different sources. My kid had all sorts of intolerances that manifested in gastro/behavioral issues. It was very frustrating for me, as a physician mom. She went off milk entirely and development slowed down, she lost weight, and I knew I had to find another solution. I tried a different brand of powdered camel milk but they changed the nutritional composition and she developed her old issues again. Then I switched to desert farms powdered camel

and it’s been a few months with no issues. It’s gentle on her very sensitive tummy.

If you’re a parent like me who has spent countless hours in sleep deprivation and learned helplessness from your kid suffering, this is something worth trying.

    Also, customer service is lovely.

I appreciate you guys for making a great product and I just hope you never change it.

    Camel Milk in Somalia

When I lived in Somalia from 1967-70, camel milk was a a dietary staple. It was generally collected in wooden containers which had been rubbed on the inside to make them water-tight, and, consequently, the milk almost always had a charcoal flavor. Ice cream from a Russian dairy also had that flavor. See the attached picture of a nomad milking an animal.

FAQ

01. Why is camel milk so expensive?

Camels don’t give lots of milk, but what they do give is precious. They only give milk when they have a baby, and lactation lasts from 10 months to over a year. They have long pregnancies, and it’s not easy to breed them, so while the US learns more about camel breeding, we’re thankful to get what we do. Milking camels (cows) produce around 5-6 liters or so a day (imagine three 2-liter bottles of soda). So it takes a whole farm, lots of feed and pasture, veterinary care, and human hands to care for and milk these ladies. If you saw how much labor and expense go into it, you’d be surprised it’s not more costly. Since many of our customers are parents, we won’t charge more than we think is reasonable.

02. Can my kids drink camel milk?

Yes! This product is not intended to cure or diagnose any illness. If you plan to use camel milk as a natural remedy, please consult your local physician and alternative health care practitioner before you introduce a new food to your children’s diet.

03. Why don’t you use glass bottles?

We can if you prefer. We like to give options to our customers and have no preference for one or another. However, please note that glass bottles usually increase the price of your shipment.

04. Is camel milk kosher?

Camel Milk is not kosher according to Jewish law. The Jewish law requirement is that an animal must have a cloven foot and chew their cud; camels do not have a cloven foot. Both criteria must be met for an animal to be considered kosher. However, a Rabbi may honor exceptions to this rule when there are health issues. Contact your local Rabbi for more information.

05. Is camel milk halal?

Yes Camel milk is halal

06. Where is your production facility?

We work with Amish and other family farms nationwide. Each bottle is milked, bottled and packaged at the farm to ensure the delicate camel milk is not exposed to contamination. Our camel milk is not and will never be shipped to a third-party contractor for bottling. We try to limit the number of people dealing with your products to ensure freshness and purity.
